Thank you for visiting Maribel Designs 4U! This page explains what information this website collects, why, and how it’s handled. In short: I only collect what’s needed to run the site and deliver your patterns, and I never sell or share your information.
Who I am
This website, maribeldesigns4u.com, is run by Maribel of Maribel Designs 4U, a small crochet and sewing pattern business. You can reach me anytime through my Contact page.
What I collect when you buy a pattern
When you purchase a pattern from my shop, the checkout asks for:
- Your name and email address, so I can send your pattern and receipt
- Your country, state, and ZIP or postal code, which are used to verify your card and to apply sales tax where required
Your card details are entered into a secure payment form run by Square and are processed directly by Square. I never see or store your full card number. You can read how Square handles payment information in Square’s own privacy notice.
Your order details (what you bought, when, and your email address) are kept so you can re-download your patterns and so I can keep accurate business and tax records.
Comments
If you leave a comment, your name, email address, and comment are saved. Your email address is never shown publicly. Comments may be checked by an automated spam filter (Akismet) to keep the site free of spam.
Cookies
This site uses a few small cookies to work properly, such as remembering what’s in your shopping cart during checkout. The site also uses basic visitor statistics through Jetpack, which show me things like which patterns are most popular. These statistics don’t identify you personally.
Affiliate links
Some posts include links to yarn, hooks, and supplies on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. When you click one of these links, Amazon may place a cookie in your browser so the purchase can be credited. Amazon’s use of that information is covered by Amazon’s own privacy notice.
Videos and outside sites
Many posts include my YouTube videos, and the site links to my Buy Me a Coffee, Instagram, and Pinterest pages. Embedded videos and those outside sites may collect information according to their own privacy policies, just as if you had visited them directly.
How your information is used
Your information is used only to deliver your patterns, answer your questions, keep the site running smoothly, and keep required business records. It is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own marketing.
Your choices
You can contact me at any time to ask what information I have about you, to correct it, or to ask me to delete it. Some order records may need to be kept for tax purposes, but anything that isn’t required will be removed.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how this site handles information changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
